ABOUT US
Designed by Builders, For Builders
TOUGHTRACKS was born from real-world experience on high-rise construction sites. Our founder, a builder with 20+ years of on-site experience working with Meriton and other top developers, saw a recurring issue: damaged sliding door tracks, trip hazards, and costly repairs.
That’s why we created TOUGHTRACKS — a simple, reusable, and highly effective solution designed to keep worksites safe and efficient.
Invest in worksite safety today.

“I can’t believe how simple the solution is. TOUGHTRACKS doesn’t just prevent defects, it saves a huge amount of labour time we usually overlook. What I’ve spent on these ramps is nothing compared to the time and hassle they’ve saved. Plus, site safety has gone to a whole new level. No one else is doing this. I only wish I had them years ago.”
George Northworx Constructions
"For years we've been pushing our wheelbarrows over steps and hobs with pieces of timber. When we tried TOUGHTRACKS, it was an instant game changer. Stable, strong and light to move it around easily. We love it! It’s a must for any bricklaying crew"
Keith Gemfen Bricklaying
“TOUGHTRACKS has just made door threshold protection easier in ways I didn’t think were possible. I used to waste hours trying to cover tracks with makeshift timber setups that never held up and still ended in damage. These ramps eliminate that hassle entirely. They’re solid, easy to use, and the cost is nothing compared to the time saved and the repairs avoided. They paid for themselves on the first job.
Honestly, I just wish I had them sooner.”
Paul PTY Built
"As a window contractor, I can confidently say that new sliding door tracks almost always get bent during construction, it's a recurring headache and cost for both us and the builder. TOUGHTRACKS is a game- changer. It’s a smart, one-time investment that saves on defects, delays and unnecessary repairs. If your sliding doors are exposed during construction, you need these. Buy them once and save money down the line"

“We could spend a day building a single make shift ramp just to cover sliding door tracks. Sourcing materials and putting them together takes time, and on big sites like ours, things move fast. It’s tough to spare the labour to build enough ramps especially when there are 10 or more access points. Managing safe makeshift ramps just isn’t practical. The great thing about TOUGHTRACKS is they’re quick to set up, portable, and you can stack them side by side. They’re light weight and look professional.”
Steve Site Manager
“Tilers always have the trouble for getting wheelbarrows over hobs and window tracks to screed balconies. I can see where the motivation for its design has come from. I love how portable TOUGHTRACKS are - light enough to move around from one apartment to the next and strong enough to handle full wheelbarrows. My team won’t do a job without them now.”
George Saba Bros
“We used to stress every time a sliding door went in. One chip or bent track could turn into a major headache. Sometimes we’d even have to replace the whole frame.
Since discovering TOUGHTRACKS, that stress is gone. They protect our work, save time, and make us look more professional to builders and clients. It’s a no-brainer.
Now, the doors slide perfectly at handover just like they should.”
Yong Trenda Windows
“It’s beyond frustrating to see brand new sliding door tracks damaged the next day after installation. As a window contractor, it’s something we’ve had to deal with way too often. TOUGHTRACKS has changed that. It’s the only solution we’ve seen that actually protects the tracks by completely spanning over them preventing any impact damage. The time and money the builder saves on repairs makes it worth every cent.”

FAQs
What exactly is TOUGHTRACKS?
TOUGHTRACKS is a heavy-duty ramp and bridging system designed to protect sliding door tracks on construction sites. It replaces temporary timber solutions with a long-lasting, foolproof alternative that reduces damage and improves site safety. While it is heavy-duty in strength (250 kg recommended Safe Working Load; 300 kg maximum breaking load), it is light weight for maximum portability and ease of use.
Why should I stop using timber ramps or boxes?
Timber ramps are time-consuming to build, inconsistent in quality, and often fail under heavy use. They’re also a common cause of door track damage and site injuries. TOUGHTRACKS offers a faster, reusable, and far more durable alternative. Save labour costs, save defect costs and save on lost time from injuries. Ultimately, your project moves much smoother and faster to completion.
How does TOUGHTRACKS prevent sliding door track damage?
TOUGHTRACKS differs from other ramps by bridging over the exposed track. TOUGHTRACKS distributes load evenly, absorbs high impacts, and shields the track from foot traffic, trolleys, bins, and wheel barrows.
What materials is it made from?
TOUGHTRACKS are built using high-performance, construction-grade materials.
The ramps and bottom height adjusters are made from virgin polypropylene reinforced with 20% long glass fibres for added strength and durability.
The central mid-span bridge uses reinforced polypropylene with 50% long glass fibres, offering exceptional load-bearing capacity.
The connecting rods, which link the span to each ramp through knuckle joints, are 1mm galvanized carbon steel for secure, rust-resistant support.
Lastly, the feet are made from rubber to provide grip and protect finished surfaces from damage.
Will it fit all types of sliding door tracks?
Yes — TOUGHTRACKS are designed with versatility in mind to suit a range of door track setups with a maximum span of 330mm.
The larger TOUGHTRACKS Pro measures W 380mm x H 280mm x L 830mm, with a clearance height of 230mm and clearance length of 330mm.
The smaller TOUGHTRACKS Mini measures W 370mm x H 175mm x L 530mm, with a clearance height of 130mm and the same clearance length of 330mm.
These dimensions strike the ideal balance between portability, weight, and overall cost — while offering practical height clearances for common installations. The Mini is well-suited for subsills on 50mm balcony steps, creating smooth transitions between living rooms and outdoor areas.
The Pro was purpose-built for added flexibility — ideal for bridging over 100mm high hobs and other obstacles like concrete pump lines as well as 150mm steps on podium levels. Pairing a Pro ramp on the low side with a Mini rampon the high side creates a smooth and stable transition across uneven access points. The knuckle joints between the ramps and bridge are designed to articulate for this purpose.
Is TOUGHTRACKS reusable?
Yes. TOUGHTRACKS are a one-off investment built to last across multiple jobs — unlike timber ramps that end up in the skip bin and cost you the same labour time, materials, and frustration, job after job.
Is it easy to install and remove?
Absolutely. No tools or special fixings are needed for standard use — it can be installed by one person in under a minute and removed just as quickly.
For long-term setups, there’s also the option to fix the ramps to a concrete substrate using concrete bolts, which will require basic tools for drilling and fixing. A hex head tool is provided to easily separate the height adjuster from the Mini ramp.
What kind of return on investment can I expect?
Preventing just one injury, one defect call-out, or the labour time spent on timber solutions can pay for multiple TOUGHTRACKS. It's a low-cost insurance policy that pays off fast.
How much weight can TOUGHTRACKS handle?
Each set has a recommended Safe Working Load of 250 kg (300 kg maximum breaking load), making it suitable for foot traffic, loaded trolleys, loaded wheelie bins or wheel barrows.
Can TOUGHTRACKS be stacked side by side for extra width?
Yes. The ramps are designed to be stacked side by side to accommodate wider loads, such as trolleys and wheelie bins. For example, the wheels of a 240L wheelie bin are typically spaced at 585mm, 660L bins at 480mm, and 1100L bins at 735mm. One set is ideal for foot traffic and wheelbarrows, while two or more sets can be used for larger equipment or wider loads.
